Help! What Now? App Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the app handles your data, what stays on your device, and how optional analytics work.
Effective date: February 11, 2026
Data stays on your device
Help! What Now? stores your decisions and preferences locally on your iPhone. We do not require an account, and we do not sync your data to our servers.
Information we do not collect
- No account information or profiles.
- No location tracking.
- No advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across third-party apps or websites.
In-app analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used and improve stability and usability. For users in the European Union (EU/EEA), analytics is disabled by default and is enabled only after explicit consent. Outside the EU/EEA, continued use of the app means you accept this analytics processing.
- We may collect app interaction events (for example, screens viewed, feature usage, and session timing).
- We may collect technical metadata such as device type, operating system version, app version, and coarse region.
- We do not use analytics data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
You can change your analytics preference at any time through your app privacy settings.
Information you may provide
If you contact support, we receive the information you include in your message (such as your email address and the details you share about your question).
Third-party services
We use the following service providers to operate and improve the app:
- PostHog: Analytics processing. For EU/EEA users, processing is based on explicit consent; for users outside the EU/EEA, continued use of the app is treated as acceptance. Learn more in the PostHog Privacy Policy.
The App Store and your device manufacturer may collect information about downloads, subscriptions, and device activity according to their own privacy policies. We do not receive personal information from those services beyond aggregated reporting.
Data retention and deletion
Because your data is stored locally, deleting the app removes the app data from your device. If you contact support, we retain that correspondence only as long as needed to address your request.
Security
We rely on iOS security features to protect your data on your device. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we are committed to keeping the app lightweight and privacy-first.
Children’s privacy
The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this policy and the effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
